Please read the article containing the release announcement for 18.10 for the detailed answer to your question. Simply put, we have decided to drop efforts to release an additional desktop environment, but are working on ways to add Ubuntu Studio to any official Ubuntu flavor. For instance, you would install Kubuntu and add Ubuntu Studio to that for all of the same benefits. This is work-in-progress.

As DiVinci Resolve is proprietary software, there is no way to do that.

I’ve been using Ubuntu studio for several years now and I love it. I’m by no means a developer, but I love open source. I use Ubuntu studio for audio production. I love that when I installed studio everything about ardour and calf just worked. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help.

I’ve personally been using plasma5 (kubuntu) with ubustudio packages for a while and it’s a great combo.

cheers. :)

Unfortunately, there have been a number of known bugs related to AMD GPUs that have been noted that are not specific to Ubuntu Studio. If you haven’t already, file a bug report and try this solution.

Los editores de video estaremos muy agradecidos de que la confluencia con las GPU de AMD y sus controladores, solucionen que podamos establecer resoluciones de 2560×1440 como sucedía con Ubuntu Studio 17.10 y que perdimos con la versión 18.04

Hi! Pre-installed, we currently offer Blender to fill that AfterEffects niche. To be honest, I had never heard of Natron before, but it looks pretty compelling.
